Somehow we've forgotten how to talk to each other
Maybe we just need a reminder of what it means to be human.
who we are
People are still worth paying attention to. That sounds simple. Right now it feels almost radical. Somewhere along the way the world traded human for efficient. Authentic for optimized. Real for polished. We stopped talking to each other and started yelling at each other, louder and louder. We started preaching to audiences and stopped trying to understand them. Most people went along with it because everyone else did. We never have.
For more than thirty years McCosh Films has been making things that remind people of what they already know but somehow forgot. That a real story told honestly can change how someone sees the world. That the most powerful thing one human being can do for another is simply make them feel seen.
Every documentary lives there. Every podcast. Every frame of every brand film we have ever produced. In the moment when a real human being watches something we made and thinks, that's me. Someone finally got it right.
And when we discovered that organizations were losing the ability to talk to their own people, that the distance between leaders and the people they lead had grown into something painful and expensive and entirely fixable, we built The North Star Initiative. Same conviction. Same belief. A different audience.
We are not for everyone. We’re for the ones who still believe people are worth it.
