"Guy Like Me"

Fashion & Music Meet

I think the best thing about my job is being able to work with amazing people. It's the one ingrident that you need in every great story that you're trying to tell. Producing a music video is a lot like producing a film in that you really need to have a lot of great people around you in order for everything to work out. In our case, one of the things that got in our way was the fact that we had gotten lots of snow during the week we were supposed to shoot!

I had been cutting through ice and trying to shovel snow for a few days before the shoot, but I was running out of time and decided to go with what I had gotten rid of up to shoot time. When Shaun and the band showed up they immediately noticed my dilemma, and jumped in to help chip away the final ice before we started shooting! It's not everyone who would do that, and it means so much to have people who are willing to do whatever it takes to make a project happen!

In a project like this there are so many people to thank. I want to say a huge thank you to Shaun Abbott and the band, you guys were amazing and really helped everything come together! Check out Shaun's music here

I also want to say thank you to Erin Fowler and her design company Charlotte Couture. She really does do beautiful work, and I have had the pleasure to work with her before on another fashion film. It was fun to incorporate her designs into the video and it's an interesting way to promote and showcase fashion.

Without people to star in the side story of your music video, you don't have much. Thank you so much to our models, Hilary McPherson, Payton White, and Sierra Hord.

Finally, I wanted to say how grateful I am to have been able to use one of the beautiful loft spaces at Sterchi Lofts in downtown Knoxville. The management and residents there were absolutely wonderful to us as we shot there for a day.

So that's about it, a great time had by all in creating a music video! I can't wait until the next one! Have a look and enjoy.
