A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to produce a fashion film spotlighting Charlotte Couture. Hilary McPherson was our model, and she did a wonderful job! The wardrobe that Erin Fowler put together was beautiful.
If you haven't checked out her clothing line, do yourself a favor and click the above link to see some samples of her work. We were also fortunate to have the makeup and hair styling skills of Stephen Mee. He takes his work very seriously, and is amazing at what he does! He stayed right with me as I shot, my second pair of eyes, making sure Hilary's hair and makeup stayed in place.
Hilary was the perfect person to have on this shoot! To produce a fashion film, you have to feel very comfortable in front of the camera doing a lot of turns and a lot of looking over your shoulder. It sounds easy, but it's really not, and with very little directing from me Hilary nailed it!
I think what's great about shoots like this, and what I love, is the collaberation of several professionals to create an outstanding finished product. Everyone worked really hard on this shoot, and I humbly appreciate that!
I think in filmmaking, like most anything else in life, you can't do it alone all of the time. What I've learned is that you want to surround yourself with great people who love what they do. When you all come together and mix everything around, you just might strike gold. I just want to say thank you again to everyone involved, this little film would not have turned out the way it did without you!
So for those of you who haven't seen it, here is the final film. Enjoy!
